Some benefits of Club membership are:
- A strong unified voice in local and regional wildlife and wild places issues through our Club’s involvement in the East Kootenay Wildlife Association (EKWA), the Back Country Coalition, and similar organizations. The Club executive and various members attend a lot of meetings on your behalf to express our local needs and views to these organizations.
- Full use of our licensed gun and archery ranges including preferred rates for clay targets. We ask that all users become members for liability insurance coverage.
- Our licensed range provides an approved venue for those owning a restricted firearm.
- Involvement in community and Club projects and shoots.
- The BCWF affiliation gives us a strong voice in Victoria where sportsmen need it most.
- Excess personal liability insurance up to $2 million during such activities as fishing, hunting, lawful shooting at a range, use/ownership of watercraft up to 26 feet in length and less than 100 hp, ATV off road liability only coverage. As for more details if you have questions.
- Annual subscription to the Outdoor Edge magazine.
- Strong representation for wildlife and its habitat by putting our money into habitat preservation and purchasing land for wildlife through the Nature Trust, Habitat Trust Fund and other organizations.
Rifle/Handgun
There is no charge for casual use of the rifle and handgun facilities however those using these facilities are encouraged to purchase Club memberships.

Archery
Group bookings for youth and other groups are avaliable and the price depends on the time and numbers
Regular practice costs $2.00
All archers at our regular practice must be club members or in a family membership for liablilty insurance reasons.

Special Events
Prices will vary according to the event.
Persons not belonging to the Club or to a club associated with the BCWF may be required to purchase a $2.00 day pass for special events.
Rental of Range Facilities
Exclusive use of the range facilities for group events is available at a cost of $80.00 per day. In this case, there is no charge for day passes and clay targets are available at Adult Member prices. Group bookings (see Contact Information) are welcome and can normally be accommodated provided there is no other scheduled event or prior reservation. Please give us at least 72 hours notice if you want exclusive use of the range as we need to ensure a Club volunteer is on site. Trap shooting, for example, is great entertainment for corporate, family or other group events.
